What is the difference between Brogue shoes, Oxford shoes, Derby shoes, and Monk strap shoes?
Brogue is a craftsmanship, not a classification of shoes. All the shoes with carved flowers can be called Brogue shoes.
An Oxford is a lace-up shoe that as a closed front shoe due to the fact the lacing section is sewn closed. You can hardly see the shoe tongue, and you can't adjust it between the shoe ears.
A Derby shoe is also a lace-up shoe but has an open lacing section. The tongue and the whole shoe are made of leather, and the ears are adjustable.
Girdle design is Monk strap shoes' logo. The main feature of the shoes is that the upper has a wide horizontal band decoration and a metal ring buckle attached to the shoe tongue.
